Who we are

Information we receive

When you contact us, we receive the information you provide, such as your name, business, email address, project location and project requirements. Correspondence may include your telephone number and supporting documents.

Why we use it

We use enquiry information to assess the proposed work, respond to you, prepare tender responses and manage relevant business correspondence. For business enquiries, our legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to potential customers and managing commercial enquiries. Where you are an individual seeking to enter a contract with us, processing may also be necessary to take steps at your request before entering that contract. Technical information is used for our legitimate interest in operating and protecting the website. We do not use form details to subscribe you to marketing.

Who processes it

Relevant Datum personnel and service providers supporting our website and email process information as needed for these purposes. Our website is hosted by Cloudflare. See the host’s privacy information.

Our enquiry mailbox is provided by Hosting Ireland. See its privacy information.

We use Microsoft’s new Outlook to access and manage enquiry emails. See its privacy information.

The enquiry form uses Web3Forms, operated by Web3Creative, to validate and store submissions, filter spam and deliver email notifications. It processes the submitted fields and technical metadata such as IP address, submission time and referrer. Its data processing agreement explains these activities and its subprocessors.

International processing

Cloudflare and, when the form is active, Web3Forms use international infrastructure. Web3Creative operates from India. These providers may process information outside the European Economic Area. Their data processing agreements include Standard Contractual Clauses for relevant restricted transfers; see Cloudflare’s agreement and Web3Forms’ agreement. How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to a contract are reviewed for deletion within 12 months after the last meaningful contact, unless a continuing business need or legal obligation requires retention. Contract-related correspondence follows the company’s applicable contract and legal record retention requirements.

Web3Forms’ published policy provides for storage of form submissions for up to three years, unless a shorter plan limit or earlier deletion applies. This provider storage is separate from the messages held in Datum’s mailbox. See Web3Forms’ privacy policy for its retention information. Contact Datum if you wish to request deletion of your enquiry.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion or restriction, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and request data portability where applicable. Contact us using the details above. You may also complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.

Cookies and technical information

This website’s own code does not set cookies, use browser storage or include analytics, advertising trackers, embedded maps or remotely loaded fonts. Our hosting and security providers process technical information such as IP addresses and request data to operate and protect the website.

No optional cookie features are included in this version. If such features are added later, we will update this information and obtain consent where required.

Website imagery

The architectural image used to illustrate façade systems is generated concept imagery. It is not a photograph of a project delivered by Datum.
